Citrus County Solar Co-op Virtual Information Session June 16th at 6PM
June 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Citrus County Solar Co-op offers local homeowners and small businesses in Citrus County information about residential and small business solar energy. This effort was launched in March by the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors of Florida in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Citrus County, Sierra Club Adventure Coast Group, Citrus County Audubon Society, Florida Springs Council, Nature Coast Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Nature Coast Unitarian Universalists and Friends of Chassahowitzka.
We’ll explore how to best go solar and save money with clean energy while reducing our carbon footprint. Get involved! The co-op is free to join and carries no obligation to invest in solar energy, although you will be able to access a discounted rate to install solar power for your home or small business as a part of the co-op. So far, 75 Citrus homeowners and businesses have signed up and a solar contractor, May Electric, has been chosen by the co-op to do the solar installations. The process has already started for many, but there’s still time to get involved.
Solar United Neighbors of Florida will present a final Virtual Solar Information Session on the Citrus Solar Co-op June 16th at 6:00 PM for interested individuals, residents, and business owners in Citrus County. For general information, go to https://www.solarunitedneighbors.org/florida/. Co-op closes to new members on July 1, 2021.
